First of all, the restaurant is vegetarian.
Design and atmosphere: cosy atmosphere and interesting design with friendly english-speaking staff.
Main course: despite the fact that there is no meat, fish or seafood, the cuisine is quite diversified and tasty. Serving is nice as well.
Desert: we ordered the cake with fruits and berries (see photo as I don’t remember the name). It was ok, but cannot say I was really impressed.
Drinks: a wide range of drinks, however, you will not find here popular drinks like Coffee Latte or fruit juices, or any soda drinks. I ordered Russian tea which was nothing special (I am Russian so believe me that was just normal black tea) . So, I wouldn’t say the taste of tea was something special. On the other hand, the tea menu has lots of interesting options. Also there was a matcha beer which sounds interesting.
Prices: the average bill per person (main course and drink) will start from 400NT including the service fee, but without alcohol.
In conclusion, I would like to say that the Between Tea House is a nice cosy place which is worth of trying, where you more or less will get what you pay for.

Read moreTonight, my girlfriend and I visited a vegetarian restaurant that we have passed by numerous times but had never dined at, situated at the very end of Tamsui Old Street. We ordered two exceptionally unique fusion dishes—the Iron Egg and Baby Cabbage Spaghetti 🍝 and Agei Pizza🍕(Arrowhead bamboo and Bai ye tofu, top with Tamsui Agei sauce and balsamic).
Iron eggs and Agei sauce are undoubtedly Tamsui's famed specialties. The restaurant not only managed to meld the dishes into flawless culinary creations without a hint of incongruity but also crafted them in a way that you'd find yourself effortlessly taking bite after bite, deliciously satisfying without inducing a sense of fullness.
However, the beverage I opted for—a Matcha 🍵, although the server informed me it would be rich and not as sweet as the usual, still did not reach the zenith of bitterness and concentration that I experienced in Kyoto, Japan.
Nevertheless, on the whole, I highly recommend this establishment. The finesse in their gourmet creations and the impeccable blend of Eastern and Western elements allowed me to profoundly perceive the chef’s unwavering...
Read moreThe atmosphere was good, but the food sadly was not. We've come there to celebrate birthday but menu selection was poor, when we decided on what to order they said we need to buy additional food because they have sets and you can't just buy a separate dish. The food we ordered was of poor quality, because it was prepared too fast and vegetables was hard to chew and the fruit cake had very little fruits on it and the bun itself was thin and didn't taste like a cake but more of an egg bun and it wasn't sweet enough. Also they didn't had fruit tea and the tea they provided was a cheap tea you...
