Terrible food quality. Don’t waste your money! I got food poisoning from eating here — woke up in the early morning the next day and was peeing outta my butthole for an hour. I feel bad that there was only one bathroom in our hotel room! Market Flavour was the only place I ate at for the day so I know it wasn’t because of any other reason! You’re better off with street food!!
Total breakfast buffet for 3 people Saturday morning was $75.47USD or $2475.87NTD I don’t mind paying that price for buffet if food is good but there were only 2 items edible out of all their selection. I think they cater to more foreign travelers. There were a lot of American type items but even the bacon was not cooked properly — it tasted like stale undercooked rubber. French toast was dry and hard. Eggs cooked in every way were bland. Even the noodle station had horribly bland Taiwanese Danzi noodle soup.
The only two things I tried to get my money’s worth on was the “Gua Bao” aka pork belly bun. I got platefuls of the buns! All the topping options at the porridge station also made the congee taste really good. There wasn’t much fruit offered. I got some dragon fruit and yellow watermelon. There’s also a raw honeycomb available to mix with yogurt — that was an interesting highlight.
Market Flavor is located on the 2nd floor of the Hilton. It was pretty crowded when we arrived at 9:30am for breakfast — I think probably because there aren’t too many places open that early. Do note that they close at 10:30am! Service was okay. They did a good job clearing our dishes attentively.
The restaurant itself is very nice. Too bad the quality of the food just wasn’t up to standard. Definitely save your money or...
Read moreMy god, what a disappointment, the reputation of Hilton group in my mind just went down the drain.
The buffet dinner I had there was an utter disaster, the dishes were just lukewarm, not much selection to pick from and the roasted beef, pork or lamb were bone dry, so hard to chew like an intensive workout for your jaw, and lastly the flavour was ... Blah, just mediocre.
Don't think this place worth the price, more than NT$1200 per person, I would rather go to MC Donald's and get a happy meal, at least I know I will walk out happy.
Food here only deserves 1 star to be honest, but I give 1 extra star for generous amount of booze here, house red and white wine plus various brands of beer (some of them in cans...
Read moreThe advantage of eating buffet is you could decide which dish with which desired wine/beer ... Golden Lager with seafood and some beef steak at beginning , then sashimi with Chardonnay white wine , following Japan plum juice....then Kolsch(this beer with light honey scent and suitable with any dish) A little red wine (it's a little too heavy for tonight dish but just ok) Finally deserts with unsweetened Ceylon black tea 😋 -- particularly delicious with Crème Caramel 🤤 at the end ... Foie Gras with Bread is also impressive 👍 Unbelievable, their Chardonnay white is also good accompanied with tortillas..👍😌
