We were given some vouchers from our bank for dinner here and it was a nice experience. We probably wouldn't have tried this place otherwise, but glad we did.
It's a set menu that comes with choice of salad, soup, main, coffee, and dessert. The meal starts with a glass of sparkling apple juice and warm bread with butter. I had the beef salad and my mom had the seafood salad. The steak salad came with thinly sliced medium rare beef on arugula with a parmesan crisp. It was quite tasty.
Next was the soup course and we tried the beef consomme and seafood soup which had shrimp and abalone. Both were also good. That was followed by a sour plum sorbet palate cleaner that was not my favorite.
I chose the rack of lamb and was surprised by the portion size. It was a full rack. Usually you only get a half rack. I did have to specify I wanted it medium rare as they wanted to do it medium/medium well. It came with a little square of purple yam, two tiny twigs of asparagus, and some pickled onions. A selection of salt, lemon juice and mint jelly also came with the lamb. The mint jelly was particularly nice.
Next was coffee service followed by dessert. I had the creme brulee that was served in a scallop shell. It was incredibly tasty and pretty. Others had the blueberry cheesecake and the mille crepe cake.
The service was good and the food was prepared well and presented nicely. I wish there were more vegetables but when you go out to eat in Taiwan it's not a thing, I guess? My mom liked it and wants to go back for her birthday. A nice upscale "bistro"...
Read more20210109 We came to this restaurant for the second time on 9th January 2021. Today we want to pre celebrate our marriage annual for seventeen years. I reservation on the website pre one day ago, but only accept for PM1:45 on 9th January 2021. Fortunately, my wife calls the restaurant at the AM10:30 9th January 2021. Then the attendant adjusts the reservation time to AM:11:30 for us. We both chose the classic main course. The aperitif drink is the white grape flavor sparkling drink, and it tastes good in a little white grape smell with sweetness. The bread is freshly-baked and with a little dish of sea-salted butter, but we ask for a little dish of foie gras. We chose different salads, the sauteed scallop with king oyster mushroom and the other one is salmon & romaine lettuce & apple topped caesar sauce. We have different chose for our steak main meal. I picked the Wang steak, and my wife picked Wang steak & grilled veal chops. I regretted the choice of me when my wife's main meal was served on the table. Although my steak is delicious too, my wife's steak seems more meats than my choice because I am a person who likes to eat meats. We both had the chocolate lava with ice cream, and it tastes yummy. What enjoys to have a dessert after a meal nothing better than this. We have a wonderful time for our lunch in this restaurant.

Read moreWe went there for a celebration and were amazed by the service, the ambience and of course also by the food. We chose one set meal each and we tried to get different items so we have more variety, every single dish was great! As our main dish, we got the Australian Wagyu Shank Steak and the Roasted Filet Steak, both were cooked just right. Also the drinks that were included in the set meal were really good and the waiters refilled our glasses several times during our dinner, which we didn't expect. Before desert, the offered to take a picture of us and told us they have a surprise for us, after some time they came back with two drinks with our picture printed on the milk foam and also two printed pictures, which was a really nice touch and we really appreciated it! Everything together was a great experience and if you consider the service and the food, the price is definitely not that high and we will definitely visit again. Also big thanks to our waiter Chris Chen, who made us feel very welcome during...
