Specializing in seafood, family style. The restaurant has kind of an awkward layout. A long bar seating area with the full kitchen behind the counter (not often seated, better serving omakase style). A few group tables (with a large beam in the middle of an already narrow walkway between the bar and tables) and a private room (up to 20 people). The various dishes in general were a bit above average. The whole fish covered with egg was very good, fresh tasting, delicious flavor. The prawns looked great, texture tasted okay, but no sweetness, almost flavorless. The oysters were so so. The butter clams soup was popular, but personally, it also lacked that deep special clam flavor, maybe too big a pot of soup, not enough clams. The stir fried cabbage was great though. The lobster rice porridge looked fantastic, rice porridge was delicious. Unfortunately, the Boston lobsters, I believe, were frozen, not live, because the meat stuck to the shell and lacked in flavor. Service was great! Another big miss was the the ventilation was terrible, totally felt like we were eating in the kitchen, with greasy smells, especially when the chef stirred fried or fried anything. Seafood ingredient quality+ variety was great. The ingredients were great, but the execution was just so-so, the taste was a bit bland - the fruits were subpar, and the lobster was overcooked as well. The best parts of our customized menu were the crab legs we had(only one leg per person) and kinki fish (deepfried was a good choice for such a delicacy bc of its small size). We were only satisfied with about 20% of the 5580 course and felt the rest was not worth the price of 6138 per person. The service was good, very professional with good pacing between dishes. Restaurant ambience is great and unique with private rooms. Staffs were friendly and attentive. Food was very fresh and amazingly well presented, especially the seafood. Even has a karaoke machine to listen to songs. Great value for money. Will definitely...
