The Tango Taipei Fuxing — Hotel in Taipei

Overall this hotel is ok for short business trip (I guess)

Positives: Staff were professional and friendly The rooms were pretty modern Had built in bedside wireless charger Had a fully fictional business area in the room with many ports for your laptop needs (you just need to bring your own cable) The fancy toilet (opens, closes and flushes by itself) Bath with built in TV (although the volume doesn't play in the bath room) Shower had 2 shower heads (one directly on top and the other in front) - yes you can turn them both on at the same time! The slippers provided were amazingly comfortable The room has surround sound speakers (this was great for watching movies) There was a washing machine in the room The bath had fancy lights (to spice up the love life?)

Negatives: No private parking (at least not for scooters) Room and common area's are small (felt very claustrophobic overall) The ceilings in the room was very low too Not enough lighting in the room (we stayed in the center room so we didn't have a window) Lighting controls are hard to figure out The chair for the business area was dirty and sticky (eww - we had to place a towel on it to use it) The washing machine took about 5 hours to wash and dry... 5 HOURS The aircon vents were dusty and was turning black.... The bath has a mirror in front of it and it still had a full female sided right hand print on it ( Only saw it when I started the bath and it steamed up, felt soooo uncomfortable and dirty - I guess the previous guests that stayed in the room had some fun in the bath with the lights) I turned on the "Nanobubbles" it turned out to be a great disappointment...

Overall, unfortunately I don't think I would be returning...

Stayed at The Tango FuHsing Taipei twice, at the end of July and beginning of August 2021. On both ocassions I booked their Jazz Room(天爵客房). However for the first stay, I was upgraded to their Wonderful Studio(天璽客房). Both rooms were wonderful by all means, of course Wonderful Studio has a slightly upgraded feel thanks to a jacuzzi bath! These 2 types of rooms also come with washing machines + dryers, which made my stay in a hot summer Taipei very convenient, being able to deal with somewhat refreshing daily self-care laundry! In addition, although it may not be so relevant to a lot of travellers, but a microwave in the both of the rooms I stayed was a plus, as I was able to still enjoy the inclusive breakfast hot after I wanted to eat it later than my requested delivery time, handy for reheating take away meals during my stay too! |The staff were professional and helpful. The housekeeping was efficient, highly hygienic (especially under the current Covid times) and never intrusive, being flexible with your chosen cleaning time. They replenished the free mini-bar daily, including the coffee machine capsules! |The Tango FuHsing is located in the business area of Taipei, so it's very convenient for business travellers but also good for non-business solo traveller like myself on these occasions. There are plenty of local eateries, convenient stores and shopping venues. |I've always trusted The Tango Hotels Taiwan as my go-to choice for boutique hotels in Taiwan, and these two stays with The Tango FuHsing not only reached the normal 'Tango standard' as the other Tango hotels I stayed in, but actually exceeded my expectations. We stayed at the Tango, FuHsing Road Taipei location at the beginning of December for nine nights. Highly recommended for the following reasons:||||- Very close to a MRT subway station.||- Lots of bakeries, coffee shops, convenience stores and restaurants nearby.||- Good breakfast and afternoon snacks at the hotel.||- Comfortable bed and nice bathroom.||- Outstanding service, professional and friendly staff.||||The staff did a great job in helping to ensure everything went well with our stay.||||We found an issue with the shower head in the bathroom, contacted the front desk staff and spoke with Chris. He immediately brought up a new shower head and installed it. Later that day and the next, Chris followed up to ensure everything was fixed to our satisfaction. Every time Chris saw us, he always came up and asked how our stay was going and if there was anything he could do for us.||||Our stay included free breakfast and afternoon snacks. The breakfast buffet was different each day. We enjoyed the variety and quality of the food. The coffee was superb and the staff was very attentive and friendly.||||We also enjoyed visiting the hotel dining area in the afternoons for coffee, tea, fruit and cheesecake.
