I ordered 5 steamed dumplings with spicy seafood stuffings, steamed mashed salty duck egg yolk & custard in mini buns, and noodles mixed with spicy seafood sauce.
Speaking of greeting tea, I chose seasonal cold brewing tea because I preferred cold drinks much more to hot drinks. The tea was nice and calming.
The steamed dumplings with spicy seafood stuffings dipped in the ginger with soy sauce and vinegar added were so delicious. The Xiao Long Bao here had good materials and texture that they were made not easy to break if you tried to pick them up with your chopsticks.
The noodles mixed with spicy seafood sauce also tasted great, which were not too salty and not too spicy. The noodles were made tender and relishing.
Steamed mashed salty duck egg yolk & custard in mini buns have always been my top 5 dim sum. The ones made by this restaurant were probably the best ones I’ve ever had. The creaminess, tastiness, and the extraordinary texture inside the buns were beyond my expectations.
In conclusion, the efficiency, service, quality, atmosphere and foods were all perfect. It’s definitely a...
Read moreVisited for the first time in ages on a weekday dinner, and it hasn't changed much from my memory. Two Families with kids. Relatively light crowd, so food came fast. Overall food tasty, with good quality ingredients. Menu is very extensive, but since we brought the kids, we stuck mostly to the basics. Xiaolongbao were very good, although I found the "variations" - specifically the mala ones to be gimmicky and not as good as the standard ones - one of these also apparently "broke" while steaming. The Oysters in Chili Bean paste was superb, with with fresh, fat oysters. Pastries, buns, and fried rice and were done well but not particularly memorable. Hand Shredded Roast Chicken dish was definitely the highlight, every bite was very tender and moist - No dry pieces and the skin was crisp and no excess fatty clumps. Service was decent, although they didn't offer water for the kids until near the end of the meal when we specifically asked. Pricing is on the high side - on par with Dintaifung. Altogether, though, a...
Read moreFigured out why its competitor DTF got much higher ratings after I finally got the chance to dine here. Honestly the service was not bad. Unfortunately the food was not that great. For the regular “steamed dumplings” (which I believe is the primary reason why people come here or DTF), the best I would say was AVERAGE, when I actually meant it was too salty and hence plainly NOT good. The one with truffle (so it said) tasted much better but then the flavour of truffle or truffle oil was excessively strong that it became the only taste. It defeated the meaning of eating steamed dumplings. It cost more than double the price of the regular type and was certainly not worth every penny. “Drunken chicken” (chicken in Chinese wine) was my all time favorite. Again did not taste good enough here. Pan-fried radish cake was a surprise. Probably the best I have had in a decade.
