LA PIADA - Gastronomia 義式薄餅店 — Restaurant in Songshan District

I was around this area, and wanted to try something new. So I was really excited to find this good review Piada restaurant, so I went there and order their signature La Piada, and this is where the dissapointment begin.

Price was 380, it's really at the expensive side, but it wasn't that fullfilling and also lack flavour The wait, I was the only one there, and I understand that they have uber eat to fullfill, but it took them 15min to have my order read Service, their owner was not in a good attitude, the whole time he was teaching this girl how to do stuff, not paying any attention to me who was waiting. Come on, it's an expensive restaurant, can't you let your customer feel better?

Lastly to note, after eating the Piada, that afternoon I got kinda sick. Since I was doing intermittent fasting, that was the only and first thing that I ate that day. I got headache, stomach ache, everything just felt like having bad food (It's the symptom that I usually have after having food that's not in good condition).

So what to say? I will never go there again, not for the food, not for the service. Beware and stay away...

Lena and Dophie were the two individuals that made my experience one of my favorite in Taiwan. First the food was delicious. I didn’t even look at the menu I just asked her what her favorite menu item was and she answered with confidence in perfect English. This was relieving because I’m American and English is music to my ears. She spoke Mandarin to my group from Taiwan. She was seamless in her transitions. She also chose the most wonderful dish I could imagine. I could have eaten 3 orders of it because I’m American and we have a reputation for eating a lot. I will definitely go here often. The owner has quite a charm with people and was able to spend a good majority of her time with us bringing pleasantries to our evening although she was busy because the restaurant appears to be quite popular. This is most likely to do with the food quality and more than reasonable pricing. There are 365 days in a year and I bet I frequent the restaurant 15-20 times this year. The atmosphere is welcoming: The staff (think there's only one guy) is attentive and helpful, and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the menu.

The prices are reasonable: While definitely not the cheaper options in the area, La Piada's prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and service you receive. You can enjoy a satisfying meal for a reasonable price, and there are plenty of options to choose from.

The location is convenient

And ofc the food, the food is great, with enough variety of choice, tho I have not tried everything on the menu, you can tell the staff does pay very high effort to make them.
