During our trip to Taiwan, we stumbled upon a small, authentic tea house that turned out to be an absolute gem. We didn’t have an appointment but were fortunate that the owner was available. From the moment we stepped in, the experience was nothing short of amazing.
The owner is incredibly knowledgeable about tea, and her passion shines through every step of the journey. What stood out was her unique brewing setup – a stunning single-cut rock that served as the platform for brewing tea. It added such a special, earthy touch to the experience.
We had the chance to open and sample various teas, all curated to help us find one we truly loved. She was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and well taken care of.
Towards the end of the trip, we realized that one of the tea boxes we bought was accidentally left empty. Despite our flight being just around the corner, she immediately offered to deliver it to us overseas without hesitation. Her dedication to service is something we’ll never forget – an experience so remarkable, we’d probably remember it even if we had Alzheimer’s!
The tea was exceptional, the service unmatched, and the overall experience one we’ll cherish forever. We secretly hope this place doesn’t get too famous and turn into a spot where bookings need to be made a year in advance. But honestly, it has all the makings of becoming one of those must-visit places.
So, if you’re in Taiwan, don’t miss this tea house. Go now while...
Read moreknowledgeable and hospitable lady who puts her heart into all she does. extremely welcoming despite our sudden appearance as she was drying her newest batch of 春茶 tea leaves. she spoke to us for hours over many, many cups of tea and homemade snacks, and even drove us to the nearby night market after our visit at her shop. furthermore, she introduced us to a tour guide who helped us immensely with our trip planning and execution the very next day. her daughter also joined us to chat for a bit and was most pleasant and courteous. as a family-owned business, their tea leaves are of great quality and sold at a perfectly reasonable price. though the little shop may be slightly hidden in a small alley, it's worth the find! the teas will vary depending on the season, but when it's springtime, you'll definitely have to give their complex spring teas (四李/不知春茶) a try! highly recommended, don't miss out on this gem when you come to Taichung...
