Overall, this is a highly recommended Izakaya restaurant, with delicious food, great ambiance, and fair price. Food quality: Every dish was freshly made, and the flavors were well balanced. Each of them only costed roughly 60-100 dollars, which was relatively cheap compared to other Izakaya restaurants in Taichung. Moreover, all types of roasted meat was tender but not greasy. The grilled pork skewers were another highlight — juicy, slightly charred, and glazed with a savory-sweet sauce that hit the umami spot just right. Balanced, simple, and deeply satisfying.
To round things off, the deep-fried tofu was delicately crisp on the outside and silky soft within, topped with shredded seaweed and served with a light dipping sauce. It was a comforting, earthy contrast to the other dishes, showing off the chef’s attention to texture and detail.
Paired with a chilled glass of The Premium Malts, this meal struck the perfect balance between indulgence and simplicity. A must-visit izakaya for those who appreciate thoughtfully crafted...
