Restaurant: Jerry’s House

I have been fancying this brunch store for a while and today I had a chance to check it out.

FOOD: My friend and I ordered:

1. Jerry’s Omelette: It comes with French Fries. This was my friend’s dish and I had a bite and I did like it. There are a lot of flavours in it: like some sweet potatoes and spicy. My friend didn’t like it, but I did.
2. Jerry’s Steak Sandwich: It was amazing with avocado, cheese, beef and the bread was crunch. It also comes with French Fries.
3. 冰拿鐵和紅茶: Both nothing special.
4. Banana Bread and Ice Cream: There were also banana and strawberries. It was good because not too sweet but definitely an unique dessert.

MENU: They have English and Chinese Menu. But Chinese menu is better because there are some pictures which help us to choose better. I even changed my mind after looking the picture in the Chinese Menu.

SERVICE: Average.

EXTRA POINTS:

1. You can see the kitchen and all the staff preparing your meal. That’s cool.

Brunch and sides we ordered were great, except the affogato. None of the staff offered to prep it for us upon us finishing our meal. It’s fine though I guess controlling flow of dining is not a thing here yet… we had to walk up to them asking for it. Then waited for another 20mins for my so-called affogato. Not sure if it’s just me that looks forward to a round, short glass containing my piping hot espresso and a nice scoop of ice cream on top and got really shocked. What’s presented in front of me was something I’d call a sundae, a tall margarita glass with 2 scoops of ice cream and cereal, raisin on the bottom of the glass, with a cup of espresso aside. Who would’ve thought that? Maybe for some that’s what they call an affogato and I’m just too classic for that. A flat, short glass with hot espresso and melting ice cream would 100% do the job for me and nothing...

Writing this as I’m still sitting in the restaurant. Their pan fried sea bass is perfection. Me and my girlfriend have been regulars here for the last 10 months or so and everything they make delivers. Their brunch whether you get the Aussie breakfast or the eggs Benedict always delivers. If you want lunch, the fish, their roasted chicken drumstick, pot roast, whatever you may want is always amazing. Also have very delicious fresh made juices and smoothies. The quality of food every single time we come is always delicious and fresh and you can see the kitchen putting together the dishes which is cool. everything on the menu I would honestly recommend, I’ve never had a bad dish from here and this is most definitely my favorite foreign spot in taiwan!
