A few thoughts on this place vs. Kura. The food overall is better here, fish tastes better and has more variety, less extreme spice (like cheese, mayo) to cover the taste of the fish. Even the fried items are decent (it’s not hot but at least warm). Usually I would not eat rotating fried things. Overall experience Kura is definitely more fun, with the plate dropping and prize for every five plates etc. Hygiene is also better at Kura. The plates here are not covered by any protector at all. And as we all know from our COVID experience, saliva TRAVELS. So me just reading the names of the dishes out loud probably means that my saliva got into the food….. Otherwise the environment is cleaner than Kura and more tidy. The rotator and plates look well maintained, and it’s not frustrating to find wasabi (unlike Kura). It’s definitely more expensive than Kura, but considering the quality of food I think it’s reasonable. Saturday lunch
