Introduced to it by my driver that I hired for my trip. Went on a rainy day as I was craving something hot and filling. It was on the middle of an alley so might look a bit intimidating at first but when you reach the stall it is very bright and you can see that the stall is quite popular amongst not only foreigners but also locals (which to me meant it's going to be a very good meal). Condiments are located outside on a small table. Owner was only super friendly and even helped us circled out what their specials/recommended items were for the hotpot when I mentioned that I was a tourist. He was also very nice to also suggest the amount of items that were suited for two people in case we over ordered. Soup was very hearty and flavourful (the longer you let it simmer the tastier it is). Meat plates were very fresh and thinly sliced. The signature fried bean curd was tops as well ( sucked up all the flavours from the soup). Overall, Loved it! Will definitely go back again on my next trip. Recommend to everyone to give it a try if you're in that...

It is famous and has a very good business, even though there are more than 20 tables regardless of summer or winter time. Only about 10 tables are deployed inside, so better to come earlier if you must need A/C when eating.
The owner is very funny. If he’s around, he’ll probably start a Chinese poem and ask customers to continue completing it. If customers can complete the poem correctly, the answerers will be rewarded a free of charge dish.
Price is very reasonable. Should be less than TWD$400 per person if you have 10 people a table to...
Read moreI was craving some hotpot so I found this place online, not knowing that it was a special type of hotpot (for me at least). I always love trying out new foods so I was excited to taste this one!
Luckily they had an English menu and with the help of some pictures we could order 👍. Staff is friendly and because it's a very busy/ popular spot amongst locals they work very quick.
I recommend this place for foreigners who love hotpot and want to try an unique one that you can't easily find abroad. The taste and experience is truly an adventure. I learned a lot by looking how other...
