瓦城泰式料理 - 台中新時代 — Restaurant in Taichung

After multiple visits to this restaurant, I feel it was due a review.

This restaurant is one of the better thai food in taiwan with decent price compared to other similar level restaurant.

Now lets dive into the menu, we ordered papaya salad, prawn mungbean noodle claypot, lemongrass steamed fish and roasted pork cheek.

First of all the papaya salad was tangy and fresh with crunchy crushed peanuts. It was a nice starter to whet our appetite.

Next we had the pork cheek which was truly delicious. The marbling of the pork cheek lends it a deep flavor especially in conjunction with the spicy and zesty cilantro lime sauce.

Moving on is the claypot prawn. This one was a bit of decrescendo in the symphony of the meal as the flavor was a bit imbalanced by the overly sweet mungbean noodles.

Finally on to the finalé, the lemongrass fish. It came at the perfect time as our sweet addled taste buds were washed by the fresh, sour and tender fish.

Alas, this would have been a perfect meal had it not been the curt service from the lady manager who raised her voice at me and stonewalling us when we asked to order manually since we do not have internet.

Absolutely loved our meal at Thai Town! The green curry was perfectly balanced—smooth, slightly creamy, and just the right spice. Truly one of the best I’ve had. The shrimp pancakes were incredible—crispy yet soft, almost like delicious Thai quesadillas. The papaya salad was so good it had my dad in a full food coma and breaking a happy sweat! 😂 The drinks were also on point—lemon iced tea and orange tea that were super refreshing, not overloaded with sugar like most places.

吃過新時代瓦城無數次 此次用餐體驗真的非常不好 自己是服務業 所以都很盡量去體諒服務業的辛苦 但是這一次真的是讓人很無言

首先先從訂位狀況分享 我：🥺 瓦城人員：🤔 🥺你好我想要訂位8/5 晚上4+2 🤔有需要兒童座椅跟餐具嗎 🥺一副座椅跟餐具 另外一個是嬰兒需要推車進去 🤔那請問需要兒童餐具嗎 🥺需要一副 🤔電話跟你留一下 🥺不好意思 請問是還有什麼時間點 🤔都可以 🥺好 那幫我訂1840 4+2 🤔請問需要兒童座椅嗎 🥺呃…需要一副餐具跟一個座椅 🤔呃…好 然候留下電話後 訂位才完成 我不確定是我說明的不清楚 還是店員累了 我就這樣被問了3次需要座椅餐具嗎 重點這三次都沒有隔很久 都是中間一句話而已

再來用餐當天狀況 因為我跟先生還有小朋友先到了 我們就先被引導入桌 一開始座位安排的方式 蠻奇怪的 所以我跟先生就想說自己移一下 一位很像主管的人就很激動的跑過來 問我們餐具座椅是不用嗎 重點是座位兒童座椅跟餐具兩個位置在不同地方 所以我們才移動的 外加我們小朋友需要躺推車 為了不要擋到走到 所以我們移位置 讓推車靠牆不會影響路線 但是這位主管 完全沒有要協助的意思 就激動的問完 就轉頭走了 一句關心我們有沒有需要協助都沒有 或許是他們在忙 所以我跟先生就沒有多想 自己用好就好 後來我們坐下來大概有10分鐘 完全沒有人員觀察到我們桌邊還沒倒水 然後我們先生在討論菜單的時候 才默默飄來一個人 突然倒水 又默默飄走 完全沒有打招呼 用手機點餐時 發現想要點的東西 菜單有 但是手機裡面沒有 要我們主動去問 才會說明沒有 點餐完後 餐點上桌 不知道是今天太累了 還是大家都剛好心情不好 從主管到每一位服務人員 完全沒有笑容 沒有也不打緊 重點是 都是臭臉 很像我們欠他們幾百萬一樣 上菜的時候 不是沒說話 放了就走 不然就是全部含糊在一起 有介紹跟沒介紹差不多的 超小聲隨意帶過 這樣讓整體用餐情緒就下降更多 後續因為我們是特地去慶生與朋友結婚紀念日 小朋友也周歲 是開開心心的一天 我一開始請他們冰蛋糕 也很清楚說明 我們出甜點的時候要一起上桌 先說甜點的部分 我們有2份摩摩渣渣 一開始與我們說明 其中一個配料沒有了 所以幫我們更換其他的 我們說沒關係 但是正式上桌 才又忽然說 這個也沒有了 所以直接幫你換其他配料 我可以明白物料在要休店的時候 的確不需要備太多 所以可能會沒有要更換 但是更換的前提是做到告知跟詢問 而不是我剛剛問過一次了 所以第二次也沒有 我直接換就好 這是一種完全沒被尊重的感覺 重點來了 我們吃甜點了 可是我看我的蛋糕一直遲遲沒有被拿出來 送上桌 於是我請先生去問 這時候主管很驚訝的說 我們沒有拿蛋糕呀 結果一問其他服務人員 才知道我們有蛋糕 主管給予的回應跟態度 感覺就像是我們的問題 我們沒有說什麼的…
