Igok — Restaurant in Taipei

I like this place, although I wouldn't call the food 100% authentic since it lacks the explosive flavor that is characteristic of Korean food. With that being said, the food is good just on the milder side of what I'm used to getting in Los Angeles. A must try is the beer pork belly. It comes grilled (very tender, although kinda thin slices) with 3 sauces on the side, and all you can eat lettuce. The banchan were decent, and to drink, I tried the passion fruit bubble, and I like it a lot, especially on the bottom it has korean Citron. The one thing that was a disappointment was the desserts. We got the creme brulee (was ok) and the baked rice cakes, which did not have much taste since it was just korean rice cakes with condensed milk,...

food was good but the waiting time is too long. Service was not good, they were reluctant to refill the side-dishes. not recommended to visit if you dont have bookings yet. they prioritizes the booking guest, and if i may suggest i dont think it is wise that they left no seat for the on site visitors. they couldnt accept booking on the same day so we came waited on-site for one hour-ish on rainy night outside, there were not much other choices nor other attraction we could visit nearby while waiting, also dont have any waiting seats available outside the store. if we didnt keep on urging them, i think they will let us wait for a longer time. it is disappointing, hope they can improve more on...
