As others have said this is worth going if you want to see whatever temporary exhibitions are on.

The permanent exhibition is one room. It’s nicely presented and introduced, just small. There is a lot of other exhibition space that wasn’t being used although some of it was being prepared for the next exhibit.

We went to the Van Gogh exhibition which I enjoyed and found very nicely presented. Obviously the original works weren’t the famous ones, but what was there was interesting. It was very busy, but that has to be expected on public holidays and weekends. I really appreciated that all the information was in equally English and well as Chinese.

🤳If visiting the Van Gogh exhibition- Do scan the QR code for the audio guide as at gives both audio and text information for each image (it wasn’t very clear in English that you should scan it or that there was an English guide).

💵 if you use a Fubon credit card then you pay 50 NT less for the tickets ($450 rather than $500).💳

Note: ticket holders and non-ticket holders waited in the same line so we wouldn’t have saved time...

I visited the Louise Bourgeois exhibition and was really impressed by her powerful, emotional work. The curation was thoughtful, but the space felt quite limited—especially considering the ticket price, which was higher than expected. If the venue were larger, the price would feel more reasonable.

The ticket counter staff weren’t very fluent in English, so it took quite a few back-and-forths before I could buy a ticket.

As for the merch, only a few items stood out—like the eco-friendly shopping bag. Other items felt out of place and low quality, almost like Taobao finds, which contrasted with both the exhibition’s tone and the ticket price. (The spider gachapon (capsule) and spider pen, for example, didn’t quite match the vibe)

It would be great if they were more selective with the merchandise—it affects how the overall value and tone of the exhibition...

As soon as I read that there will be a Louise Bourgeois exhibition in Taipei, I booked my ticket as soon as possible while planning my trip. I missed this exhibition in Japan last year so it was a chance for me. I was really impressive by the Fubon Art Museum. The light in some room was incredible, adding a charming note at the exhibition. The word of Louise Bourgeois was well exposed and I truly enjoyed admiring her spiders. I also for the impressionist exhibition, which was a highlight during my trip in Taipei. The staff is very nice and I love the shop. I just have a little deception : I bought the spider puzzle and there was a piece missing !
