Charming City Songshan Hotel — Hotel in Taipei

DO NOT STAY HERE. The photos online are severely outdated. This hotel was such a disappointment, easily the worst part of my holiday. -Foul smell as soon as you walk into the lobby, worsens as you walk through the corridors and in the room. -Questionable stains on the furniture. -Mouldy bathroom. -Faulty elevator doors that close on you. -Noisy construction -Understaffed reception, poor English which is understandable but lacks professionalism

Considering I paid $240 to stay here I expected the room to be at least hospitable.

Checked out and requested a refund shortly after check-in due to the poor conditions, the staff refused and asked me to contact Qantas whom I booked through. I contacted Qantas, who relayed that the hotel would not agree to a refund as I had not filed a complaint on the day. Unbelievable.
