Update on Aug 3.
I've to revise my rating to 1 or even lower to warn everyone who is reading this.
I've ordered something and waited for about half an hour and still not coming, so I checked with the staff and found out, my order has been delivered to the next table for more than 20 minutes... the staff didn't think of making another one for me, just taken the cold disk from others' table and bring that to me. Of course, I refused to take that.
So, the staff bring that back to kitchen. And after that, the same staff walked out from the kitchen right away and bring me with the same disk... ( the food that I've ordered is kind of special, it is deep fried and without any sources... So, at least, should need more than 10 minutes to make that )...
So, I'm pretty sure that was the same disk and hence, I refused to take that again... For me, I will definitely NOT coming back again to have the 2nd-hand food ( or maybe more ). But if you would like to go, then it is up to you.
I'm from Hong Kong, and I've to say, yes, this restaurant is truly, 100% Hong Kong. Food here taste exactly the same, and also services, also the same... ( FYI, when compare to Taiwanese restaurant standard, which means the services are not that good... Lol... ) However, but I will still recommend you to go if you really want to taste something truly from Hong Kong, but, you have to expect, this restaurant is a bit more expensive than other Hong Kong...
Read moreI had a Business Lunch $230 (Weekdays only) on Monday with Chinese Sausage Fried Rice ($170) (fixed on Monday) + an optional drink, therefore, it totally saves $30 from usual. Last time eating this was a very long time probably a decade ago. To my surprise, the fried rice is cooked very saucy and delightful with the Chinese sausage. Besides, Chinese sausages have a slightly harder texture than the western sausages. Overall, it tastes much better than I expected because I was supposed to order Salted Fish and Chicken Fried Rice ($170) but I was told by the staff that they ran out of salted fish. They also met my request for not putting vegetable shreds.
Honey Lemonade ($90) (Cold/Hot). The reason why I opt for honey lemonade is Cantonese honey lemonade always tastes better and richer in flavour than regular ones to me. I’ve been enjoying Cantonese honey lemonade since I was a child.
It is approximately 400 metres or a 6 minute walk away from MRT Zhongxiao Dunhua exit 2. The restaurant is quite bustling on Monday noon but there are still some vacancies.
To sum up, truly amazing food and quality at such affordable prices, benevolent staff, and the speed of cooking is rapid. Overall, it’s a 9.5 out of 10!
FYI, the tea is complimentary, cash payments only, and there’s 10% service charge...
Read moreThe food is nice but 10% service fee for what service!? One of the staff was quite rude, and clearly didn’t to want to work there (the short girl, perhaps Indonesian or Vietnamese). She kept bumping into my shoulder while walking past my table, and kept getting my order wrong (her Chinese wasn’t great). After I clarified that the bill was wrong, she didn’t apologise. She’s in the background of the photo. I recommend going to a different branch of...
