🇹🇼We made special note to go for eel for our Taiwan trip as it is not even remotely possible in our other side of the world to get unagi🇩🇰
🥢Food is elegant and of delightful quality🫶🏻 Grilled eel is especially recommendable🐡yet the most pleasant surprise is that we get to see the tank where eels swim their last on the way to the washroom🎣which I guess contributes to prove that their eels are indeed grilled on demand🔥
🎂we were also thrilled to learn that there is no surcharge for bringing cake for birthday celebration, which is the norm for us at home💸 Another point for service standard in Taiwan indeed💖
🏮The interior was designed after Japanese style🪧contextualised with humours on the wall, among which one sign specified there being no fish-bone-picking service, a statement we found quite frequently around fish restaurants in Taiwan, and which we found...
Read moreThe dining environment was beautiful, and the food was good—though to be honest, not exceptionally so. Considering the price, I felt it was a bit on the expensive side.
The restaurant mainly offers set meals, with complimentary one-time refills for both soup and rice. I especially recommend the soup made from simmered eel bones—it’s infused with Chinese herbs and has a wonderfully rich flavor.
Currently, the restaurant doesn’t offer any birthday perks. Even if you dine in on your actual birthday, there are no special treats or surprises, which is a bit disappointing and makes it feel less festive for...
