Best bar in taoyuan. Awesome food , good vibes, friendly owners and reasonable price. The HOP is one of my favorite places to hangout with friends, I’ve been going there for years, never seen either Nathan or Sabrina being mean or rude to anybody. Those who had bad experiences at the hop then gave them bad reviews, I assume that they must be those kind of people that no bar wants them as customers. Staying more than 2 hours, spending less than 300 NT per person and thought “ oh I spent so much money, I deserve a better service, bla bla bla . “ The worst kind of customer ever!!!

So if you're in a place where you're longing for some of those good ole' creature comforts like good beer, good sandwiches, good pizzas, and good English this is the place youre looking for. The hop attracts and caters to some of the most lovely people I know of. The service is sincere and the atmosphere is tempered with a nice diffused lighting that makes you feel as if you stepped in a teleportation machine that brought you to some obscure street corner in the outskirts of some charming far off town. A marvellously laid-back place with some highly authentic characters tending bar, and a living room away from home upstairs where you can challenge your mates to a game of pool or just chill watching a match of your favourite sport. Occasionally there's live music on, and when there isn't, the staff will put on an illustrious playlist which reflects the extraordinary classiness of a most exquisite curator. Don't forget to ask for some Bon Jovi if your aim is to get turfed, and definitely try the Hot Toddie when the subtropical humid Winter doesn't care what you think about its temperatures...
