extremely disappointing experience we first arrived at around 14:00 and was instantly hit with the smell of chemicals and paint. The worker told us that it was their 休息時間 and that they would only be open at 15:00. This confused us because there was no rest time shown on the Google maps. nevertheless we left and decided to come back later. We returned at 18:01 and there was nobody in the restaurant a few minutes later the same worker came down and refused to serve us because they were allegedly only open until 18:00.

Tried out the new eats in town. Nice little place attached to a surf shop. Or a surf shop attached to a Fish & Chips place. 🤷‍♂️ Inside is new and comfortable. Outside seating also. Ordered a Fish & Chips platter and a Calamari & Chips platter. All very good. Traditional English style chips. Lots of Calamari and very tender. They even have malt vinegar! The only constructive feedback is that it is a little pricey (for Toucheng) but then most guests are probably coming from Taipei. Casual but cool fish and chips place combined with a surf shop, which is unusual but wonderful for atmosphere. Fish was wonderfully cooked and tasted perfectly fresh. Whatever oil they use has a really nice taste, and not overly oily at all. Really delicious. The same can be said of the calamari, which definitely did not taste like it had been frozen.
