I was in a bit of a hurry so only had time to try their noodles.
I tried their spiciest noodles and their best seller. The spicy noodle was a disappointment. They are not able to blend the spicy flavor with the noodles. It only tasted like having sour chilli water.
Their best seller on the other hand was average, not bad. I saw other reviews saying their broth is very rich but I found it very ordinary even though I had selected a rich broth. The pork pieces they used were not too my liking, I prefer the pork shoulder cuts that you can select at other ramen stores. In the noodles you will also find half of a soft boiled egg and a few bamboo pieces.
Don't get me wrong, they aren't bad but for this price range there are better and cheaper options. I personally still think Nagi ramen in Ximen is the best! (as long as you don't have to wait too long that is haha and I also wish they gave you an egg)
Might not come back again, but if I do I will see if their fried items will...
Read moreThis wasn't a very good meal at all. Despite the excellent service from the lady waiting our table, their menu is annoying as ordering needs to all be done via QR code from a website that doesn't work well. For some reason it requires a phone number to place an order. And even after selecting the English menu it still presents the item descriptions in Chinese. Fortunately the kind lady was able to assist when we called her over. Also the air conditioning was absolutely blasting and it was a cold night in Taipei. Again the kind lady turned the air conditioning down when we asked to change tables because of being uncomfortably cold. The food itself is very overpriced and downright poor. The sliced pork was nearly completely fat as you can see from my photos and tasted terrible. We definitely wouldn't return when nearly every ramen I've ever had in Taiwan was better than this by a...
Read moreCame in the afternoon and there was ample seating. Service was fast and easy to order via the QR code. There is an option to change language to English so that's super helpful. Got the original pork classic ramen with extra soft boiled egg. Options include ramen flavor (original or extra), noodle (thin or flat), noodle texture (hard, medium, soft).
The food came in a few mins and there was a basket to keep my bag while eating. The broth is nice and full, not too rich and fatty. The egg was just perfect. I picked medium texture bur felt it could had been little softer. It was still tasty. There is plenty of green onion topping. Def nice lunch meal around ximen without the...
