New Mala Hot Pot Kunming Branch — Restaurant in Wanhua District

Tried the hotpot buffet here recently and overall it was a disappointing experience. The beef was a bit tough, though the duck blood was quite good. Portions are small and limited — you only get one serving per item each time you submit an order, and there’s a timer that forces you to wait before you can order again. Even vegetables and sides have to be ordered and waited on, unlike other hotpot buffet chains where you can simply help yourself.

On the plus side, the alcohol selection is impressive with plenty of variety. But service was not very friendly, and the staff even came to collect the bill while we were still eating, which felt quite rushed.

When compared to other hotpot buffet chains, this place really falls short — from cleanliness to beef quality to service. For the price, I’d much rather go elsewhere. Would not...

awesome place. hotput buffet to eat till you drop. freeflow of taiwan beer, milktea and many more kinds of drink. food wise there is a wide variety of beef and pork from different countries and different cuts apart from the usual. eggs and noodles are self-helped from the counter.

one thing good is that the list of food to order from tells you how many pieces are there in a serving and you will not have to worry about over order. they also have small display on each plate to tell you what meat it is.

lastly you get to enjoy unlimited movenpick and haagen daz from the self-help freezer with cones or bowl...

Definitely in the more expensive side but really good nonetheless. Has Haagen Daaz ice cream and good meat great sauces a huge variety of sauces and also beer and drinks unlimited ordero

The ordering works like maximum per time you can do 3 max of a dish total of 8 different orders and once you order you can reorder right away. They do it because there is so much space ona table and it gets full fast

Service is quick even in busy times and even though heavy populated area was fast.
