very disappointing experience. at the entrance staff asked if we had wanted an outdoor sofa seating and told us to wait indoors right at the entrance as the outdoor seat will be freed up shortly. they further took and served our order at the indoor seat while constantly assuring us that they will move us outdoor once the seat is available. in the end the table (whom the waiters thought were leaving) stayed on much longer and we pretty much ended up getting our tea and snacks at the seat that wasnt the most ideal for us. the staff probably didn’t expect that customer to stay much longer but they shouldn’t have set such expectation to incoming customers if they have no control over the situation. we would have gone to another cafe if the seat was not available. Instead we had an unpleasant experience waiting for more than 40mins and we left even earlier then the table that was...

So many rules to eat at the place😅. It kinda made the experience awkward.

They have bunch of fees and rules (ex. Have to order minimum of around 200 NT per person to eat here, you can only sit at certain spot if you order above certain amount). They also have specific food schedule (no hot food before 6pm). Also have specific rules & fees about ordering traditional tea and using their tea pot.

Overall the food was okay but the experience was a little awkward for non fluent Chinese speaker (could be on us for not speaking Chinese well🥲).

I recommend the restaurant put up a big sign with all the rules and regulations at the entrance for clearer communication in the future.

They have spectacular view though....

What a cute tea house with a nice vibey view of Taipei. It was nice that they spoke English here and they accept card! They demonstrated how to prepare the tea and then you can self serve and it seems like it’s unlimited refills on hot water. I sat here making and drinking my tea, taking in the ambience. Felt like I could do this for forever. The shade provided a nice respite from the hot weather. The tea flavored beer and desserts were nice too. I traveled alone too and they were very welcoming and accommodating! This place seemed popular and had a lot of guests. Overall, I had a great experience here and would recommend this...

We happened to pass by and got a table in the air-conditioned indoor area. There was an introduction to tea preparation, and a young lady showed us how to prepare the delicious teas. The service was very friendly and efficient. The food was also excellent, we tried beef, chicken and the specialty fern. Very tasty. The atmosphere was very nice and calm, with relaxing music in the background. We would definitely come back. There is also an outdoor area with a nice view over Taipei.

Delicious food, fantastic view overlooking the entirety of the Taipei city (you can see Taipei 101 from here). They provide both English and Chinese service/menu. All the dishes we selected were delicious. The tea experience was neat. They provide a brand new bag of tea and if not used up, they can reseal for you to bring home. Note: The lava custard bun was not runny. Note: They provide vegan and vegetarian options. Highly recommend this place and would return.
