My boy request to bring him to ride the cable 🚠 car. And off we go after a long and sweaty stroll in the zoo. We queue for our turn to board the carriage. It was a long ride hanging in the sky to the top of the mountain mao kong.
The scenery was magnificent and breathtaking. We overlook the entire of Taipei city and Taipei 101 standing out among the rest of the buildings.
After a 20 mins ride we finally arrive at Mao kong station. We disembark the carriage and grab some refreshments before heading out to explore the area.
There are some restaurants and shops around mao kong station and for visitors who like to hike you will love it here. Even better if the weather is cooler 😆
I would like to come back again in the night sitting in 1 of the cafe or restaurant to enjoy the night view...
Read moreThis cable car ride is able to bring you from Taipei Zoo to the peak of Maokong Station. There's 4 stations in total, covering over 3km in track, and almost 300m in elevation. The total journey takes about 20 - 25 minutes, and you are able to take in the views of Taipei itself. Tickets are NT$120 for one adult from Taipei Zoo to Maokong, one way. So it might be a bit expensive, but it's worth the journey if you don't wanna drive or take a bus up! Do expect long queues for the cable cars though, especially when it's the holiday period. There's 2 different cars, one normal (with more seating) and the other where the bottom of the cable car is made of glass. (but with less seating) There's no price difference between the two, but the staff may assign you to any random one if the...
