One of the many wonderful tea restaurants in MaoKong. Four Brothers has a large vegetarian menu and the dishes that use eggs are clearly marked (in Chinese) in their own section on the vegetarian page of the menu. Even so, after ordering the waitress made sure we knew one of the dishes we ordered used eggs.
The complimentary tea is tasty and you can buy a box to take home if you really enjoy it. It's has a subtle flavor with a light natural sweetness to it, making it quite refreshing. I really enjoy the tea braised tofu, but it uses egg tofu, so be careful vegans. The veggie dishes are also good, but focus on one vegetable, so order a few different ones for variety. The bird nest fern, cooked up with wolf berries and ginger, is a delicious treat if you want to try a local mountain vegetable.

Read moreA truly lovely experience at the top of the gondola line. we waited around an hour for the crystal bottom gondola (worth it to try it once!) and made it to this iconic restaurant for an afternoon snack. We were able to get a view-side table for 5 people after a 5 minute wait. it’s open air with an amazing view!!!!
We got the Tie Guanyin tea (400 NT + 80 NT per person) which comes in a set so you can use instructions in the menu to do the process properly. we also got the tea fried sweet potatoes (150ish NT) and tea fried tofu (150ish NT) which were fried perfectly and excellent with the accompanying white pepper and plum powder. the tea sesame oil noodles were nice too
2 hour table limit leaves you plenty of time to enjoy the vibes before passing it on to...

And that’s why i brought my friend and daughter who just came back from the States there for a nice dinner & great night view of Taipei. Unfortunately, this time the experience was extremely terrible. The service was cold, rude, unprofessional. Don’t think they know the first thing about service. The food the price was high compared to the quality and quantity, with the exception of Tea Fried Rice. The experience was so bad that I decided to post my very first dining review. I will NEVER come or recommend this...
