The food was yummy- we ordered tea leaf noodles, winter melon soup, tea leaf fried rice and bean curd. Though pricey due to been in the touristy area, the food is well-made, and the aroma of tea can be tasted from the dishes. However, the service of the young female staff made our overall experience less pleasant. We entered asking the female staff for a window seat and as none was available, we took another seat.

When there were windows seat available again and no one was waiting for the seats- I enquired politely with the staff if we could shift to the window seat to enjoy the scenery. She was rather abrupt in her reply, and with hinge of annoyance mentioned to me that it was too troublesome to shift us (we only had two dishes served and barely started eating) so we should stay put. It got me angrier when I saw the same waitress purring and speaking sweetly to newcomers' moments later, raving and offering their windows seats to them. For this double standard service, I cannot give the...

Another gem of a restaurant in the Maokong area.

Chicken with tea oil stirfry is still a personal favorite. It amazes me how this dish is never prepared the same way, and how the taste varies from one restaurant to another, but still delivers that comforting familiar deliciousness I crave when in Taiwan.

Equally impressive are the two elderly couple manning the dining hall and the youthful ladies operating the kitchen.

The heavy downpour was a blessing during our visit as it made us appreciate more how comforting the dishes at this restaurant are. (At the same time, it was unfortunate to people who got stuck atop the...

I was worried about not being able to finish the food after seeing the reviews, but because everything was delicious, it wasn't a problem for 2 people!😁

I ordered tea-fried rice (for 2 people), stir-fry water lily and tea fried chicken. The rice was fragrant, rice grains separate and not mushy. The lily wasn't salty, and the chicken was crispy, well-seasoned. Everything complemented together to me for a good meal. 😊

The nice lady gave us tea jelly after the meal too! Strong tea flavour,...

(2024/11/14)This is a fantastic restaurant, perfect for entertaining foreign friends. Ordering one pot of tea per table is enough, and any leftover tea leaves can be taken home. You can also order some snacks to go with the tea, making for a very relaxing afternoon. In the evening, you can seamlessly transition to dinner, enjoy a hearty meal, and then head down the mountain!
