I went on the most busy day, took me 1h to wait in line to get to the gondola. But this little tea house with the beautiful view wasn’t busy at all. It’s a 15 min walk away, so only the real connaisseurs go there. Tea is 300-400 plus 80 per personne service charge. Min 180 per person. But you can spend hours here just looking at the beautiful view of Taipei and the temple in the distance. They were super nice, showing me how to poor the tea. And I got to keep a big portion of the tea (the 300 you pay is essentially to keep the 100g of tea). There are mosquitos, so you can ask them to burn some incense but bring some deet just in case....

We were given a step by step tutorial as to how to prepare and serve tea the customary way, and the lady took extra time to make sure we were fully listened to. It's a walk from the gondola mountain top station to reach here. It's much easier if you take a mini bus #Brown15 from the MRT Zoo station. Use Google Map and GPS to tell your bus driver "This is it!
