莎莉好食Sarlee's — Restaurant in Xincheng

Our B&B host told us there was a western food nearby. We decided to drop by for an early dinner right after our walk from chisingtan beach.

The ambience of the cafe was really pleasant, quiet and nice. I love the decors too! The food and service was good. I would said it was a hearty meal.

If there is one thing I would recommend, it will be the cakes. The cakes are truly delightful. I was expecting the cake to be really really sweet because of how it looks but I was surprised.

I ordered the yuzu for dine-in after my dinner and I also ordered 3 more cakes for takeaway. I personally love the strawberry jam pudding cake especially how the pudding layer was layered with the chiffon and the cream too 😍.The sweetness level was just right for my preference. It wasn’t too sweet. The yuzu was stronger in flavour and it wasn’t sweet too. Perfect for the elders who dislike sweets. Peanut mochi had a chiffon cake and cream and some peanut jam wrapped in the mochi skin. It was quite interesting. For meat floss mochi cake, i didn’t really had the chance to taste it because i brought it for my family. They said it was not bad as it had a mix of both salty and sweet flavour.

Special mention: The hot milk with toasted caramel was nice too!

Overall: The food is slightly pricey but I will still come back again for the cakes if I ever had...

Overall, the food quality was good, but the portions were rather small, and tasted as though they had been microwaved (I could be wrong about this, but the texture of the meat in both dishes seemed a bit off: it tasted rather dry and heated unevenly: superhot in some places, but luke warm in other places).

We spent nearly 300 per person, and after finishing, we were still hungry! All in all, a little disappointing, given the mostly very positive prior reviews.

To be honest, I think this restaurant needs to try much harder if it wishes to retain its 4-to-5...

1.I love the breakfast sandwiches. They are really nice as the cheese melts in my mouth. The beef, with the mixture of vegetables and the sauce inside the bread is also very delicious.

2.The coffee made by a kind waitress has a nice aroma and good taste.

I am just a nine year old kid but l enjoyed the coffee and food very much. Even my family love the beverages and food. I am very happy that I went to such a nice mordern cafe on my trip in Taiwan!Please try...
