Finally, a real American bagel in Taiwan!

Of course, nothing beats a bagel made in New York (it's the water), but these are very good. They are made properly (boiled before baked to get a slightly rubbery and tough skin).

The bagel flavors are authentic (no matcha or oolong tea here), as is the display of many varieties of cream cheese flavors that are schmeared to order. The bagels are chewy with a nice bite to them and I really liked the few cream cheese flavors that I tried.

If you're craving a chewy bagel sammy, this is a solid spot! The bagels have that chewy skin and dense interior texture that I love. I got the chicken salad bagel sammie with a whole wheat bagel (you can choose which bagel flavor you want even for sandwiches) for 120nt. It was yummy but not a big size- more like moderate. The Philly cheesesteak sammie was good too but for 160nt the cp is low and not good enough to reorder, personally. However the many different sweet and savory bagel cream cheese spreads sound appealing, as does the spicy jalapeño tuna sandwich and the kimchi cheesy pork sammie. Just had a bagel with cream cheese that seriously scratched an itch I’ve had for way too long. Bagels had a great chew and crumb, and the cream cheese is thick instead of the whipped stuff you often find in places trying to cut costs. Seriously the best bagel experience I’ve come across in Taiwan so far, and definitely going to come back to try the brunch.

Edit: had the bagel sandwich with cream cheese, bacon, and tomato, with an egg added and it was amazing yet again. Would have liked a little more cream cheese, but there was ample bacon (not ham) and proper egg with slightly runny yoke. My only complaint is that this place isn't closer...
