Great hotel in a great central district location, the weird thing is room with breakfast rate is only available on their own website but not with other third party which is a pity as I dont collect points or membership with their hotels and they still only have a few hotels in the world. But nothing to complain about this hotel, the arrival is swift and you can see you are close by to everything else. Lobby is on level 6 and quick fast check-in. The restaurant, bar and business center is all on level 6. While pool, gym and spa is on level 7. The gym is tiny with only mainly cardio machine, but no heavy weight lifting equipment; they do provide yoga matt but no space to use it as it is fairly small. I didnt checkout the pool as it was quite late night. I did however later saw a note in the TV, that they are expanding the gym on level 8 not sure. The room is good spacious with dark serious wooden interior, comfortable bed but I found the pillow to be a bit on the hard side. The bathroom is very spacious and clean with Japanese onsen style bathtub but shower over the tub. The in-room TV is quite comprehensive with pay movie option. I didnt find any ironing board in my room nor any instruction which is not a big deal. The work space is great and my room is overseeing the city which is lovely. The mini bar is provided, with Nespresso machine as well. Breakfast offering is quite lovely and good quality spread as well, which I thoroughly enjoyed and the restaurant space is quite nice too. Lunch and dinner are semi buftet and quite good as well, basically the buffet serves appetizer and dessert, while you order your main course from a la carte menu. Update 2019 Came back and decided to stay here again, though the hotel is 5 years old I think. The facility and room still looks new, immaculate and clean. Love it!

Overall a good stay over the computex busy tech show period this may. Stayed 5n. Walking away with a mixed bag. Pros first... 1. Service is top notch and fantastic. Everyone was so kind.. From doorhops to check in to the daily maids cleaning the rooms. 2. Bed quality is great with no issues getting a good sleep every night. 3. Location is superb. The mrt is 10m by a short walk. Di tai fung has 2 outlets nearby and a ton of other food options available at the malls behind the property. Cons... 1. Biggest con is there are no proper blackout curtains. Only roller blinds. So, this means light from the morning sun will bleed in starting at 5am. If you need total darkness to sleep.. You're out of luck. 2. Room insulation could be better. Could hear corridor conversations and also doors slamming throughout the day. Did not hear any road noise despite being assigned a lowly 7th floor room though. 3. There is no full sized bathtub. Major cons. There's only a square size tub which is big enough for you to sit cross legged which is uncomfortably hard on your butt and your back. 4. Water pressure is also bad. Don't expect a high pressure high volume shower. It also takes about half an hour to fill the tub up.. So frustrating for the prices paid per night! Overall... Would stay here again despite the issues. The location simply cannot be beat... That alone is more than justifiable for the price you pay.

Stayed here for a week while on business. The standard is extremely high, with personal touches like arranging taxi's and when I left my work diary in a taxi, they not only secured it for me but allocated it to my room. A colleague had his suitcase lost by the airport and when it was finally returned they notified him that it was returned to his room. The views are better as you get higher OR request to look over the pool I only had a single room on the 9th floor which was extremely spacious, and great features. Later I moved to the 15th and it has better views. Breakfast was a buffet ranging from omelettes made as you wait, to waffles, fruit salad, lots of hot dishes and drinks. There is a cash machine in the basement so no need to wander the street looking for money. Staff are professional and polite The location is right in the city center, so you can walk to everything or 3 mins walk from the metro. Don't be afraid to take a taxi as they were cheap, I took several lasting over 20-mins and paid about the equivalent of about £2-£3. Uber is even better as it takes directly from your account and the driver knows the location. There is a pool and gym which are high standard

Humble House has recently changed into a "Curio Collection by Hilton" hotel and the staffs are still getting used to the changes, but they tried very hard to make every guests feel welcomed. The housekeeping staffs were extremely polite and I had not gotten so many morning greetings for a while. ||The check in experience was not perfect. I arrived at 2:30pm but the rooms still needed inspection. The agent completed the check in process, took care of my bags, gave me a welcome drink coupon, personally escorted me to the coffee bar/shop next door, and told me that he would return with my key once the inspection was done. Unfortunately he never returned. ||The room itself was okay. The basic room was on the small side, and as a Hilton Honors Gold member, I was upgraded to a room with a view of the "101," which was nice. The rooms were stylish and there was even remote charging pad. The bathroom was on the small side and I was not sure why they even had to put in a bathtub. I would rather they use the space for larger faucet. ||Fitness center was on the 8th floor and you did not need to go through the reception at 7th floor. The fitness center was on the small side and was busy especially in the morning hours. They have yoga mats but if you did not have spaces for yoga area, those mats were meaningless. There was only one elliptical machine too. Given the amount of empty space at the 7th floor reception area, maybe they can find a way to add a yoga/stretching room. ||As a Hilton Gold member, I was given a choice of points or breakfast. I chose breakfast and it was actually pretty good. The restaurant never got super busy, but the staffs were on the inexperienced and borderline rude side. Only the egg chef was friendly. The waiters/waitresses really did not know what they were doing. They asked if I wanted tea or coffee, but never delivered them. ||I will return to the hotel in mid-November and hope the experience will improve. Hilton elite members need to be lower their expectations. If you want a typical US Hilton room, I will pay for a larger room/Premier room. ||The hotel definitely puts in lots of efforts for the switch to Hilton but still needs some times to adjust to expectations from non-Asian Hilton elite members. Hopefully my November stay with family will go smoother. ||PS. The hotel is always busy so don't expect late checkout or...

This hotels policies are UNACCEPTABLE. They limit air conditioning to 75 degrees Fahrenheit, in a country with tropical levels of humidity. This is not a 5 start hotel, it’s a 1 star hotel. Even a Motel 6 or Ramada motel in the USA does not limit air conditioning.

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE, UNACCEPTABLE.

Also when we came into the room their were dirty tissues on the floor and the lamp in the bedroom is broken on arrival. I have never in my life stayed at a hotel less accommodating than this one. This is a poverty hotel with a Gucci belt.

Shame on management, shame on Hilton. I expected so much better from an American company. Disgusting, they should give us a refund for their despicable stinginess. OUTRAGEOUS. We were loyal customers, and would stay in this hotel every time we (my family) come to Taipei. When we get back to NYC we will make sure to sound the alarm and make sure everyone knows to STAY AWAY from this dump.

The only redeeming factor about this hotel is it’s location. I am personally offended by the conduct of this hotels management and truly befuddled by their complete incompetence and frankly class-A stupidity.

Shame on you!

Update 1250 AM 3/29: because this hotel refuses to leave AC on in the rooms and refuses to actually have a reasonable AC temp in the room. Our entire hotel room smells like piss. This place is disgusting.

1:45 AM: we got moved to a different room, which is hypoallergenic. It’s a lot better but still extremely humid. Hotel claimed that the “damp” smell (interesting way to pronounce piss but that’s just me) is from rain? Is this a joke? LOL if a 5 start hotel said that in the US I can’t even imagine what would happen.

But on the bright side I finally understand why its called humble house. It’s meant to humble people who book expensive hotel rooms by making them not have AC and to sleep with piss smell. Perfect simulation of living on the street! Well done humble house! I certainly got to experience a very humble existence…

————— April 3rd: I am changing my review to 4 stars since the hotel made right on the situation. They apologized and upgraded us to a suite.

Additionally during the over 7 magnitude earthquake today the hotel felt so safe and room service was still operational. I have to applaud the hotel for this. Despite all the issues at first safety comes first and the fact we felt safe here warrants at...

As a Taiwanese American, I travel to Taiwan once or twice a month to visit my mom. I usually stay at W Hotel, Le Meridien, Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt Grand and/or Sheraton hotel. This is my first time staying in Humble House Hotel Taipei.

Due to entry restrictions to Taiwan in response to COVID-19 outbreak, each individual shall undergo a 15-day period of home quarantine at home or at a quarantine hotel.

This is my 3rd time staying at quarantine hotel in Taiwan for the past 5 months. And the first time at Humble House Hotel. I would say "outstanding service from the very beginning to the end". I really enjoyed the experience in this hotel. The people in the hotel are amazing. They will try to meet all your needs during your stay. Excellent hard working crew in the hotel.

It's an excellent hotel, conveniently located even though we have to stay inside the hotel room for the entire 15 days. The hotel is located in the Xinyi district of Taipei, offering a clean and spacious environment and elegant rooms with commanding views of the city. Rooms are as soothing as they are stylish, refreshing and supremely comfortable.

Humble House Self-Isolated Package offers reasonable prices including breakfast, lunch, dinner, tax and service fee. The meals are delicately designed by the chef to provide a variety of Chinese and western style cuisines served in disposable tableware. There are delicious meals to accompany travelers through the 15 days.

The Humble House hotel’s five-star chef has carefully designed a variety of Chinese, Japanese and Western dishes to create rich and delicious anti-epidemic meals for quarantine travelers during the quarantine period. Wonderful 15 days of meals have a good taste and excellent food with balanced nutrition, and enjoy a healthy and delicious life during the quarantine period.

I would highly recommend Humble House Hotel which provides you a safe and comfortable 15 days quarantine experience. I'll stay here even in the post-covid era when I...
