I ordered the Korean fried chicken (not spicy), gf had lamb tofu pot not spicy (soondubu) and gf's friend had cheese kimchi soondubu mild spicy. The menu has most of the basic Korean dishes from tofu pots, to pancakes, to cold noodles, and to my surprise, Korean fried chicken (which is why I ordered it). Most of the entrees ranged from 280-350NT and there's also the meal set for
The small dishes were unlimited! I only had time to try the kimchi, which was good in flavor, but kind of on the too spicy side. I'm not kimchi expert, but I can't say it was bad. The highlight of the small dishes is definitely the salty seaweed which went well with their tofu pots.
My chicken wings were very juicy and the flavors were good. However, there was just way too much breading on them. I ended up taking off the skin/breading and eating the meat only. It was good the first few wings, but ended up getting way too oily for me. My gf said her soondubu was good, however, her friend said her soondubu was good, but mild spicy had almost no hint of spicy at all. So if you like spicy, I might suggest you go for spicy or extra spicy.
The highlight of the meal was definitely the service. Since the small dishes were unlimited, we did refill twice, however, they came by a total of 4 times to ask if we needed refills. Everyone was courteous when pouring our tea, cleaning up the table, as well as when I was paying for the bill, the employee behind the register was all smiles.
To be very honest, the food was pretty acceptable, I wasn't expecting too too much from a chain Korean restaurant inside City Link, however, the staff was extremely good in every aspect and that made the meal and experience well worth of what we paid (about...
Read moreThis review is for the Taipei City Hall location, which Google cannot find. This is on the 7th floor in the City Hall mall, and easily accessible from the City Hall MRT station. This was our first visit, and both dishes we tried were wonderful. The seafood pancake was enormous and the size of a medium pizza. All the ingredients were very fresh tasting and the preparation was excellent. Decor is nice and it's a comfortable setting for a meal. Lunch time was fairly crowded, so this is a popular place. Along with Momo Paradise, and Nara Thai, both on the same floor, this is one of the best places to dine at...
Read morePretty amazing Korean food, although a little pricey. I've only been here once, but the food was great and just-right portions. Nice atmosphere, but they do limit you to 90 minutes.
I ordered the cheese sondubu with beef, and all meals come with unlimited 小菜 (assorted kimchi and seaweed). The 標準辣 is actually spicy, and I believe they have two higher and lower levels of spice. Comes with purple rice in a stone pot, although the rice doesn't heat as nicely as some other places I've been to (either burnt and stick to the bowl, or normal non-crispy rice). You can add the complimentary tea to the rice...
