I had the pleasure of dining at TGI Friday's Xinyi branch on December 12th with my family. As a long-time patron of Friday's restaurants, I have been dining at this particular restaurant for over 30 years, starting with the first branch on Dunhua North Road in Taipei city and continuing at my current favorite location in Xinyi. I have always been fond of the atmosphere at Friday's restaurants, especially the early days when the restaurant was filled with guests of various nationalities, and the young male and female servers were enthusiastic and professional. The restaurant is also known for its attractive female staff, and the overall dining atmosphere is lively and enjoyable. After many years and various social events, I am pleased that TGI Friday's has been able to continue operating. In my opinion, the Xinyi branch is the best, with its beautiful decor and vibrant atmosphere. Another highlight of this restaurant is its commitment to maintaining the authentic flavours of its classic dishes, as well as regularly introducing new and innovative dishes.
Unfortunately, there were two aspects of my recent visit that were less than satisfactory. First, I noticed that the quality of the diners at the restaurant has declined. Since the restaurant uses a table service model, I was disappointed to see more and more customers bringing their bills to the small computer desk to pay, rather than having their server handle it. This may be a minor detail, but it detracts from the overall dining experience and detracts from the restaurant's quality, after all this is not 嘉義鵝肉飯 or sort of things!
The second issue I had was with a waiter named Hugh. He was not well-groomed and his clothing was not very neat, which may have been due to his bulky body size. But the most annoying thing was that he wore his hard-soled shoes as slippers, making a very unpleasant knocking sound as he walked around the restaurant. This not only ruined my appetite, but also reflected poorly on the restaurant's professionalism. In contrast, the other waiter, Melody, was neat and professional. She also had a tall, slender figure and exuded energy as she moved around the restaurant. She was also very attractive....
Read moreFridays should be famous for its food and service. However, according to my experience on 11/2 Saturday evening, I am really disappointed with their service. I actually want to give only 2 stars or below, but I don't want to be harsh. During the around 60 minutes of dining, I encountered several situations that I cannot find the waiters. First, no one send the water 10 minutes after placing the order. Second, I cannot find a waiter to ask for an extra fork so I have to go to the bar to ask for one. Third, after a waiter bring a cake to the table, she doesn't ask if we need to take a picture. When we want to take a picture, we cannot find a waiter so we have to ask another guest for help. Maybe we are just unlucky. Maybe they just happened to have a serious under-staff situation. But this experience will make me wait more time to go back to this...
