光合箱子 Daylight (南京店) — Restaurant in Zhongshan District

The Salmon egg Benedict was mediocre. Instead of typical benedicts with the english muffin, it had their famous toast. I was excited to dig in, but when i took the bite I was disappointed. The eggs were runny and had a watery taste to them. There wasn’t much flavor in the eggs or the toast, so it tasted like i was eating soggy watery toast. The salad was delicious and it was a big amount. The yogurt on the side was delicious too, however I was just disappointed with their eggs benedict. There’s only one piece of smoked salmon though, but I guess that makes up for the 10nt price difference with the regular eggs benedict.

On the other hand, their matcha was pretty tasty, however it wasn’t very hot. It was warm.

Lastly the price is unreasonably high for most things on the menu given that more than half of the dishes were lettuce and salad. However, I do recommend their red wine pork dish and their...

++----------Horrible revisit! BUGS!(see pics)--------++ There were multiple bugs on the broccoli and lettuce!! The response From the restaurant was that they'll replace the broccoli and lettuce. NO WAY. If that's how the food is washed and prepared I'm not touching another one of those! And also, explaining that it's organic DOES NOT help! It's as if all of a sudden you expect us to accept that the food wasn't properly prepared just because it was organic?!

---Previous visit------------- Insane portions! Each enter comes with a nice salad that is very fresh. Omelette is highly recommended. For the meat lovers, get the pork chop. Americano, ridiculously, with milk by the side requires additional cost! Wonder if they'll want extra for more sugar??!

Ordered salmon & eggs which was pretty alright, apart frm the salmon being abit too warm. Salad that came with, was an abundance of greens, corn, sweet potato, a piece of mushroom, orange & passion fruit. Greens had a sort of bitter taste and didn't quite finish. Fruits were alright as well.

Staff attitude, from the waitress, was terrible, as if she was forced to work on her day off. Rushed us off after around 2hrs of our catching up with friends.
