Uncle Layman’s Jumbo Burger is one of the classic big burgers still standing in Taipei. We got there at noon on Saturday and had no trouble getting seated without a reservation. Their menu is quite large with tons of American classics like pasta, pizza, burgers, and Mexican. The interior is densely decorated with movie memorabilia of all sorts and it looks like the owner had spent a long time accumulating it over the years and is obviously an American movie fan. I also had the milkshake with berries, banana and walnuts and it was delicious. My wife had pasta carbonara and was a bit less satisfied - the meal had little to do with actual carbonara. It tasted ok to me, but did not really meet the expectations. The service was excellent, the waitress spoke English and we had no...
