Pien Tien Chuang offers a delightful fusion of Taiwanese and Chinese flavors. The food is generally very good, rich in taste and clearly made with care. I especially enjoyed the rice cake, which was delicious, and the “Buds Jump Out the Wall” dish, which was thick, flavorful, and satisfying. The “Flaky clay oven roll with pork belly” was also a standout, savory, tender, and unique.

The service was attentive and friendly, adding to the positive experience. However, the prices are on the higher side, which might not make it a regular stop for everyone.

One area that could use improvement is the environment. Walking down to the basement dining area, there was a noticeable damp smell. I’d recommend the restaurant consider installing a stronger air filtration or dehumidifier system to address this. We had eight people sharing a banquet-style meal meant for ten, and it felt just right, so if you have a larger group, you may want to keep that in mind when ordering
