i decided to check this place out because of its high google rating only to discover that something is definitely off because this food was awful. the meat was all way overcooked so it was extremely dry and tough, sometimes with the unpleasant bitterness of too many edges burnt. i really don’t understand why there are so many reviews praising the taste. the waiter did say that there was a promotion whereby they’ll give you a free fish if you scan their QR code or whatever to do something or other (i forget because there was an especially drunk and rowdy group inside so i couldn’t really hear him), so could all those five star reviews just be from that? or do taiwanese ppl only care about CP at the expense of taste??? i really don’t know, but as cheap as this place was for an izakaya, i would vastly prefer paying more for food that’s...

Nice atmosphere and friendly service. But after a long wait in line, the food didn’t quite live up to the 4.8 rating. It’s cheaper than most places and feels like eating at a friend’s backyard barbecue — homely and simple, but not very memorable. Not bad for a casual meal, though I wouldn’t choose it for a proper dinner...

L'orrore. A parte la scortesia del servire prima i tavoli coi taiwanesi di quelli con lo straniero. La carne era tra le più secche e vecchie che io abbia mai mangiato. Non penso sia solo un problema di cottura, la carne era proprio vecchia e indigesta. Ci sono due scelte per la "salsa" da aggiungere a questi presunti yakitori (che non hanno nulla a che vedere con gli yakitori giapponesi). La salsa dolce è stucchevole, disgustosa: non va giù. L'altra è semplicemente una serie di spezie buttate a caso sullo spiedino (principalmente pepe nero: così sono bravo anch'io a condire eh). Un dettaglio meraviglioso: le mosche che girano per il ristorante, posandosi piacevolmente sugli spiedini per condividere il pasto con voi. Il pesce affumicato (ma più carbonizzato, poveraccio) che offrono gratuito potevano anche tenerselo perché ne ho provato un pezzettino per poi non toccarlo mai più. La pulizia del locale la lascio immaginare. Non c'è prezzo basso che giustifichi una bassa...
