The Moon Hotel — Hotel in Taipei

This is a good place for a business trip stay. Simple accommodations, but with sufficient amenities. Coffee/tea which can be brewed with the electric tea kettle provided (the outdated water heater machines don't work, but two bottles of cold water are in the fridge. I stayed in 508 for two nights. The maid service was thorough and I was glad to see the room tidied up after arriving back after a late business meeting.

Big HD TV with English channels too. All amenities provided (even some I didn't need 🤣) to meet a travelers needs. Decently comfortable bed. Huge jacuzzi with powerful jets. Hot water aplenty. Extra pillows (for guys like me who need at least four to sleep well.

Although the decor is a little dated, and the room size is not huge, the service is helpful and friendly. Because the price is very reasonable and I received a free upgrade (I.e. Jacuzzi), five stars for CP值 (value for money). P.S. lots of restaurants and...

Probably the worst hotel I’ve ever been to. The first thing i noticed when i walked into the bedroom was the cigarette smell. The bathroom was dirty and old. The towel in our bathroom had blood stains on it. We told the staffs that it was blood but she denied it.The bedsheets were also kinda dirty. The curtain were full of dust. The wall socket wasn’t working for some reason and i couldn’t charge my phone. A lot things don’t work at this hotel. I wouldn’t recommend that hotel to anyone. The location isn’t great too. It’s a cheap hotel, but you can definitely get better for same amount. What bothered me was the poor hygiene standards of this hotel. I wouldn’t even give this one...

The photos online look great but the reality is quite different. The only good thing about my personal experience in this hotel is maybe the location and the present we received for the new year.

About everything else, well.. from the outside it looks creepy and dodgy and the first thing I thought is that it was a love hotel. The room was incredibly dirty, there were hairs from the previous people all over the floor, dirty and dusty pillows, short bed I couldn’t fit in (I’m 1.75).
