Hsiung Chi Scallion Pancake — Restaurant in Zhongzheng District

After wandering the streets of Taiwan for two weeks, we came to this place because we wanted homemade, from scratch scallion pancakes. This place is recommended by the Michelin guide as well. They were closed when we initially came, so we were going to go home but saw the line forming before the stall opened so we decided to wait. The scallion pancake is almost noodle like: it falls apart and is so light and chewy. Gosh. I want to eat it again. This food stall is definitely like that. Some of the best scallion pancakes I’ve ever had-super flaky, chewy, and crispy, but not too heavy and greasy. Got egg, basil, ham, and cheese, and added all three sauces. Very good and filling snack for a great price. Owner was super nice as well, very friendly and clearly knew his craft well. Ordered the bacon & cheese with egg, if I'm not mistaken for only 60$. Long queue, amazing old couple still working hard & fast by themselves. Food was okay, maybe because the mustard & chilli sauce was too little made it wasn't as good as I expected, should have asked for more.
