We have been coming to this place for years. But nowadays overall it's poorly supervised. Our experiences for the past few visits has been below par. The food is still good,but it takes forever to wait for it. The inconveniences comes in their service. You literally have to hunt for the wait staff. There is no floor manager to supervise the service or talk to customers who have been waiting more than they should. The servers they come to tour table the first time and once they bring your drinks, you never see them again. We literally had to go ask for our food, to find out that they served the ones in the vehicles parked near the outdoor kitchen, this really was a disappointment. People who bring their children here, I believe there should be some extra attention to see to the children comfort, as most children get bored waiting 40 mins for their food. Ours started sleeping. The place gets cold at night, I remember they used to have heavy curtain drawn, or at least ask the customers how comfortable are they at your restaurant. One last thing, we asked for the bill, it took them 20mins,of which in between we have to stop a random server to please remind them we need the bill. Read moreMy girlfriends planned a surprise going away lunch at Andrews on 17/02/18 for me. As part of the do, they had a few balloons put up on chairs to sweeten the event. No sooner had they done so, the 'in charge' manager (a man) came up and was extremely rude to the girls. He called the whole affair as outdated and stupid. Apparently he thought what my girls were planning for me couldn't be done at hotels like Serena. He was yelling so loudly that people at the next table stopped eating and watched.. even the other waiters/waitresses were stunned at the vile interaction with a member of the establishment's leadership displaying such poor customer care. I was so hurt by this turn of events as we've always enjoyed coming by to Andrews. We had no choice but to leave at the manager's request, that meant leaving behind our lunch order of goat, chicken, mzuzu and grilled sausage. How sad, for the first time this joint has left a bitter taste of disgust and shame in my mouth and has lost my business for good........

My last two visits to Andrews have been nothing short of a disaster. During my first visit, the food arrived surprisingly quickly, but it was served cold! How does that even happen when you’re not rushed? Still, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, thinking it might have been a one-time slip-up. Unfortunately, my second experience was even worse.
On my most recent visit, I waited over an hour just to get tea and it was a cold night. By the time my food finally arrived, I’d already lost my appetite. To make matters worse, there were no waiters in sight. It felt like the staff had completely disappeared. Service is just as important as the food if not more, and Andrews failed on both fronts.
It will be a while until I recommend the place or try to visit again. Do...
