Barometer Bistro — Restaurant in Dar es-Salaam

The place is good for any event but had the worst service ever today. Planning this surprised birthday for a friend and got the worst shock ever . It is so unfortunate that when you want to have good times with your friends and decide to go to @barometerbistro.tz you end up having the worst disappointment and moment . Clients come eat and spend hundreds of thousands and even without prio warning you charge extra to wish a friend a birthday With a cake just because the cake wasn't bought from the restaurant. ????? It will be better to write it clearly on your menu or when clients are coming with the cake to know they can't get in with it or will be charged extra. Worst of it service was super slow had to wait hours to get served on a monday which had close to no one. Frankly this is the worst dinning experience i have ever had in Dar es salaam. Tonight was my first time going to Barometer. My boyfriend ordered the ribs and I ordered the beef paupiettes. We both complained that the meat tasted stale and as though it had been in the fridge for too long, and I was unable to eat even a quarter of my meal. They still had the audacity to charge us for both meals and state that “the meat was delivered today”. Apparently we weren’t the first customers to complain. I would give them 0 stars if I could, but since I can’t i’ll award this 1 star to our waitress who was very understanding and provided great service. Barometer for your prices, you should do better! Had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. They brought an overcooked burnt steak and when we complained it took them 30 Minutes to bring a piece of meat which is not tenderloin We ordered the wing it which was meant to be be 3 different type of wings but was only 1 flavour.

The "new" manager did briefly come over to ask how was the food, we explained the issues. The worst part is no acknowledgement when it came to the bill. Complaints were transferred from one person to another and no one to take authority on amending the bill.

Very unfortunate considering ambience is nice but food and service...
