All good things come to an end. When you dont update your staff ( Asha) to respect customers, if we call any waiter they ignore and walk away as their hands are full or you are understaffed, when you don't update your Utensils and feed us with broken spoons causing cuts in our mouths. And serving COLD SOGGY food. One bad fish spoils the whole pond. Atleast update staff to speak to customers politely no matter how.many times they have to listen to us. We only are requesting what we are paying u for.
We left hungry stressed and crying kids. All because the waiter forgot our food and served us COLD FOOD. which is a taboo in restaurant business. No apology from her no rectificarion of getting our meal. Hot or warm. We just kept on sitting there without any service. Other waiters looked on and on , but not one came to assist. Although they were free.
My advice to you is, if you cannot handle crowd then stop the influx when your waiters have their hands full and your restaurant chef already is up to his neck with orders and cannot cope. Because the waiters then disrespect us make frowning faces saying things which leads to embarassment for the customers as they use discriminatory words where onlookers are shocked by their attitute causing you to loose more customers, and then they dump cold food on the table and leave. Atleast customers can go find another option. Instead of making them sit for 1.5 hours and then COLD SOGGY CHICKEN WINGS, BRINJAL CHIPS NOT CRISPY AND SOUP. Who serves cold soup?? Atleast show humanity when customers come with small children. Our kids fell asleep hungry and crying. Thank you once again for such a stressful night at The Great Wall where a waiter humiliated us and the owner wasn't...
Read moreBeing a fussy eater I was almost convinced not to visit this restaurant by a comment I read on here. On entering the restaurant we were asked if we would like the hot pot buffet, unsure we had some excellent dim sum to start whilst pondering the idea of the hot pot. Having lived in Saigon for several years I am familiar with the concept as the Vietnamese do wonderful versions of this, much better than the Korean or other equivalent. Be written having had a Chinese hit pot, and given the large variety of food on the table, we decided to give it a try. We are so very glad that we did. Although not as good as a Vietnamese version in Saigon it was still fantastic. The soup was in two parts, one being spicy and the other not so. The foods to cook in the soup consisted of tofu, copious mushrooms of various types, seaweed, beef, goat, chicken, prawns, pork and fish, with the usual Asian leaves to add. Of course there was chilli, corriander, ginger and garlic. For 38tzs each it was extremely good value for money as neither of us could finish the meal, despite craving just one more bite, and the food was delicious, the whole thing was a fantastic and fun experience. We intend to visit...
Read moreI recently dined at The Great Wall Chinese Restaurant in Dar es Salaam and had an exceptional experience. The food was simply outstanding, offering authentic Chinese flavors that were a delight to the palate. We indulged in a variety of dishes including Gongbao chicken, noodles, fried rice, mushroom bokchoy, and crispy pork with potato pancakes. Each dish was prepared to perfection, showcasing a wonderful blend of spices and fresh ingredients.
The service was equally impressive, with attentive and friendly staff ensuring we had everything we needed. The ambiance was pleasant, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed meal. We also enjoyed a couple of refreshing drinks and ended our meal with a soothing Chinese herbal tea, which was a perfect conclusion to our dining experience.
Overall, The Great Wall Chinese Restaurant exceeded our expectations with its delicious food, excellent service, and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great Chinese dining experience in...
