Pantaleo Barbeque (jeshini) — Restaurant in Dar es-Salaam

A very casual comfortable place with little to no music (I prefer that). Great and very helpful staff (I'll come to that part!) Food is always to the point!!!!!! Hands down the best mishkaki in Dar very tender and juicy ( even the next day Incase you have leftovers!) Fried chicken is our family fav although I prefer the grilled chicken more... Nundu is actual real nundu ( we usually ask them to cut it for us makes it easier to eat) . They serve a healthy portion of katchumbari which is very finely diced tomatoes and onions and you could ask for slices pilipili mbuzi on the side. The servers are very polite and attentive they bring very warm water to wash your hands at the table. Now to the friendly staff point- we went with a toddler who had a little accident and the staff were ever so helpful in getting us warm water and helping us clean up all with a smile !!!!! Ample time space is an absolute added bonus!!! Despite being an outdoor seating there were hardly any flies

Things to bear in mind: although the food is all halal alcohol is served here There are cats Their portions are really big so be mindful while ordering . Mishkaki is sold per stick and chicken is usually a whole chicken unless you ask for half chicken Depending on where you sit lighting can be an issue

After a lot of raving reviews with a slight hint of warning. With good food, is good skill to try and loot you out of more money from your wallet.If you do happen to go here keep vigilant count of your order and the price each thing is served you at the waiter will try to pocket the rest. This behavior is birthed by popularity to scam the majority customers who come drink and eat there, hammered people don't check their bills. They are the only restaurant in the whole of TZ, that count 1 Chicken as a whole chicken(so beware of that for your order) while every where else half is the standard portion for sale. And mentioned them to not cut your chicken to bite size pieces like they usually do because some of those tiny pieces will also go missing and not make it on your plate, reserved for their own tummies.
