I recently had the pleasure of visiting Furaha Beach Bar & Restaurant in Kendwa, Zanzibar and I cannot speak highly enough of my experience there. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere, making me feel right at home.

We came and sat at the table at 18:55. The waiter reminded us table was reserved from 21:00 on and shown us a note on the table saying: table 8 reserved 2 persons 9 pm We said it will take us less than 2 hours and ordered our meals and drinks. At 20:05, 10 minutes after we finished eating and still had our glasses full, another waitress came and said the table was reserved and we needed to leave. We said:"The note here says 9 pm." She replied:"No, no, this note is for that table over there". The tables were marked! She was trying to get rid of us and free the table as soon as we finished eating! I called another waitress and explained the situation, she was obviously embarrased by her coworker lying and apologized. She also said they are using the table to sell food and people are waiting. We were going to order more drinks but decided not to and left. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS! Plenty of restaurants nearby, tomorrow we are spending our money elsewhere.
