Kendwa Beach Bungalows — Hotel in Unguja

I had the absolute misfortune of staying at this hotel, and it was an experience straight out of a nightmare. On my third night, I saw a RAT scurry across my room! Yes, a rat. There were multiple sightings over the next couple of days. ||I immediately reported this to the front desk, but the staff seemed completely indifferent, as if it was a normal occurrence! They offered no solution other than to 'keep my food off the floor and keep my balcony closed 'can you believe that?! The hotel management is clearly incompetent and could not care less about guest safety or hygiene.||To make matters worse, I asked to speak to the boss, hoping for some actual action. Big mistake, to this day he did not respond to any of our calls and messages. The so-called 'manager' was nowhere to be found for hours, and when I finally got a hold of him, he brushed off my complaint like it was nothing. He apologized, only offered a room change. They were not even willing to give us free breakfast as complimentary. ||This place is a health hazard my snacks that I brought along were eaten by the rats surely there's more than one, and the management is beyond careless. Stay far, far away unless you want to share your room...

As I read on reviews when we checked in they wanted to put us at the sister hotel... But I was adamnant insisting that I booked beach front sea facing... So after a little fight we were accommodated... But I fear that had I not put up a fight I would have not got what I paid for...

The wifi was dismal. Breakfast was average... The lovely staff mad it all bearable..lovely lady JAMEELA... at the restaurant...

The beach front is amazing lively clear...
