Lost Soles Bar on Zanzibar is hands down the most “sole-ful” bar I’ve been to on Zanzibar! From the moment I stepped in, it felt like my feet were in for an adventure they never expected. The friendly staff (Muna) had me toe-tally entertained throughout the evening, and the ambience was so catchy, I couldn’t help but tap my foot to the beat of the music!

Now, let’s talk about the food. Oh my cod! The flavors danced around my taste buds like a choreographed ballet. Their menu is fin-tastic, offering a variety of dishes that will make your taste buds do the samba. And the cocktails? Well, be prepared to bid farewell to your soles, because those drinks are something else! They have concoctions that will whisk you away on a beachy vacation, even if you’re just sitting at the bar.

But here’s a word of caution: once you sip on their mixological masterpieces, you might find yourself on cloud nine, with your feet floating above ground. It’s like they’ve found the secret recipe for levitation! Don’t worry, though, they won’t leave you stranded. Just remember to hold on to your shoes tightly, or you might find yourself leaving the bar as a part-time pirate, searching for your lost soles.

Good cocktails, great food, amazing atmosphere!!

We stumbled upon this place by chance as we were staying a bit further up the beach. Amazingly, it was a live music night (Tuesday) and the last music night of the season. The place had a few full tables when we arrived but 30 mins later it was packed (some punters were greeted by the owner suggesting several happy returning customers). As we arrived the band started playing, which they proceeded to do for the next couple of hours (WHAT a band!). The food we ordered was delicious (butter chicken and whole grilled fish) and the service was excellent.

Mark, the owner, was sat amongst the guests and made it his personal responsibility to speak to everyone and ensure they had a great night- he got the WHOLE restaurant up on the dance floor 3/4 times, ordered shots for every single customer, danced with us all and acted like a true host! Every single person in there had a great night! We stayed longer than we expected and drank more than we expected and had a an absolutely fantastic night- thank you everyone...
