Original Teddy's Place — Restaurant in Unguja

We arrived with a booking for teddys place at the beach, and didn’t know that there was two teddys places next to each other. At the hostel we arrived at the manager told us that we were at the right place even though he saw our booking. He clearly new we were at the wrong hostel and decided to lie, as in his word “they needed the money”. We had an 56 dollars deposit we paid for the other hostel, which we told him. After telling him that he needed to subtract the deposit money from the bill he finally told us that we were at the wrong place (3 nights later!). ||He was pushy, rude and not very friendly.||This was not a nice hostel! ||1. Online it says that they accept card for the payment for the accommodation. They do NOT. So we had to take out cash which had an expensive fee.||2. The WIFI worked 5 minutes a day, if we were lucky. ||3. No fridge - So warm drinks..||4. One morning we woke up really thirsty and they told us that they were out of water to buy. ||5. So me and my friend arrived to Teddy’s and we were supposed to stay there for 3 nights, but ended up staying another 2 because we loved it so much. The place have a really cool vibe and you can do everything, the beach is less than 1 minuet away, and you have the village just a few minutes walk from there. If you need anything the staff is there for you. They are the most friendly, generously and amazing people I’ve ever met.
