Great Mexican Food, Casual Vibe! We visited Sala Mexicali recently, and while the place itself doesn’t have a super atmospheric or stylish interior, the food absolutely makes up for it. I had the chicken quesadilla — it was delicious and tasted very authentic. My friend ordered the sizzling fajitas (you know, the ones served on a hot skillet that comes out still sizzling), and that dish was just as tasty.

One small detail — the salsa was good, but the tomatoes were chopped a bit too large, which made it a little tricky to eat. Still, the flavor was spot on.

Service could use some improvement. I accidentally spilled my glass of Coke, and no one came to help — I had to grab a bunch of napkins and clean it up myself. So I’d rate the service 4 out of 5.
