As a Korean living in Phuket, I can confidently say: Mr. Gung is THE spot when you're missing home and dreaming of pork belly, marinated pork, and grilled seafood. ⠀ The quality of both meat and seafood is good — juicy, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The side dishes are not fancy, but totally hit the spot and pair well with BBQ.

Unlimited meat = happy heart and full belly 😄 ⠀ 🙌 I also want to mention the staff — super friendly, always smiling, and they actually noticed when to change the grill without even asking. That’s rare and appreciated! ⠀ 🛠️The one thing I hope improves is the side dish display area. There were a few too many flies hanging around — maybe better covers or containers would help. ⠀ Still, overall, this place delivers big on flavor, comfort, and service.

This is the only Korean-style BBQ restaurant we found in Phuket, and it definitely hit the spot! If you’re craving grilled meat and a satisfying, hands-on dining experience, this place is a great choice.

The buffet menu isn’t the most diverse, but it offers enough variety to keep you full and happy. The meats were fresh, well-marinated, and tasty when grilled. While you won’t find an endless selection like some larger Korean BBQ spots, the essentials are all there — and everything we tried was satisfying.

The service was good overall. The staff were very nice and supportive, always checking in to refill side dishes or help with the grill if needed. They made the dining experience feel easy and enjoyable, even if you’re not familiar with how Korean BBQ works.

The restaurant offers a buffet style that’s satisfying, great value, and very delicious. It features Korean-style BBQ with grilled pork and a variety of fresh vegetables to choose from. For dessert, there’s ice cream and fresh fruit available as well.

After the restaurant renovation, there are now both the original open-air zone and a new air-conditioned zone. In the air-conditioned area, lighting and a ventilation hood have been installed, which is a great improvement.
