Pity About The Neighbours Firstly, to make it clear, this is not the original location of this restaurant, and many of the photos shown are inaccurate. The current place seems much smaller and it is rather drab, and the location quite unattractive, surrounded by loud, sleazy nightclubs and their patrons. The sign which promises "funny" experience is difficult to reconcile with the fairly cool, almost cold reception we received from the staff (?) The proprietor, while apparently friendly can turn very quickly nasty if you dare any criticism. On the plus side the food is quite good, though too salty at times, very German orientated, and there is a good range of choices. There is also German beer, pricier than the local stuff but not overly so. Prices generally are reasonable. The establishment is often empty so don't expect too much partying, except of course from the neighbours. I won'r be going back for more.
Reply to owner's response: Ambience and location are as important as service, food quality and pricing with a dining experience. This location and the ambience leave much to be desired. The ambience is down-at-heel and the location uninspiring. And choosing the location is a choice a proprietor does make as is the decor and state of the place. The owner's response to my criticism speaks for itself: as I said , he doesn't like it and behaves accordingly, eg calling me a liar (about what I am not too sure .) We were served by one Thai female and one German male. I don't know whether they are staff or owners so I put a question mark. I did comment on the night about my problem with the food which sparked the unpleasant and definitiely unfunny response from the male in question. My review was balanced: I did praise the general quality of the food (with one important reservation), the range, the beverages and the reasonable pricing. But I still will not be...

Frankly, I’m surprised to see it has a good rating as it does here because my experience was not favorable. First, the menu items seem overpriced. By way of example, I ordered a side dish of cauliflower fried in butter. The amount of cauliflower I received sat comfortably in the palm of my hand. There were maybe a half a dozen small florets. Yet I was charged 66 baht for this dainty amuse bouche. More than entire meals on the street. My main dish of chicken breast in a coconut curry sauce included two chicken tenders, each about the length of my thumb. More significantly, there was a foreign item in my main dish. Just an inedible piece of paper, but still...
Given the otherwise high marks given this restaurant by others, I must assume I had an outlier experience that is not characteristic of the restaurant. But it was offputting enough for me to cross it...

Edit: As a business you are also responsible to to manage your online profile. For example editing your opening hours. So when people take a taxi for 30 minutes to end up in the rain in front of closed doors it's a one star experience. So please take into consideration that in 2024 it is important to manage your online account as well. I know this can be difficult for elderly people but you could always ask for help.
PS: And being impolite won't improve the customer experience. Please have...
