On our 5 week authentic food safari of Chiangmai and Surat Thani. Came here because of the reviews.

They moved into a new place today, a few doors down and much bigger than before.

If you want affordable authentic Thai food in Chiangmai then come here.

We had tom yum goong, moo krab pow and beef massaman. All were superb. As others have reviewed, the massaman and tom yum are unbeatable. Both of these are in the top 5 of the best we have ever eaten. Rich, deep and layered flavours, bold, and generous portions that are well presented. The whole deal.

We also spoke to the owners who were very kind and lovely people. They want their customers to enjoy true Thai food at it's best.

Very easy to give 5 stars to. We'll be back several more times because there is just so much interesting stuff on this menu. Enjoy!

Couldn't help ourselves, we came back 2 days later, this time for Khao Soi Gai, tom sum, and more of the outstanding tom yum goong.

Everything was exceptional, again. I love the balance of bold flavours, not sharp at all. So delicious.

If you are in Chiangmai do yourself a favour and get here. If you love genuine Thai food you won't be disappointed.

And back again 2 years later. The food here is still extraordinary. The Khao Soi was a tiny bit sweeter this time, and delicious. Easy 9.5/10. Huge serve, even for medium.

The creamy tom yum goong was also huge and again a 9.5/10. Superb. It's only 9.5 because we had one that was even better, right here two years ago 😊.

And the massaman Gai was also huge, rich and delicious. Just gorgeous. A little sweeter than last time but balanced with a little more heat but still with all the massaman richness and depth.

We ordered 3 medium meals and had plenty for 6 people I think. Seriously still one of the best places to eat in Chiang Mai. Wow.

It's a no-brainer every time we come...

This place is really popular, so be prepared for a wait. Usually I don’t think it’s worth it to queue more than 30 minutes for food, but this place is an exception.

We arrived at around 7:30 with 11 parties in front of us. We were seated at 8:00 and got our food around 25 minutes after we ordered.

Ordered the following items: Stir-fried morning glory: You’re in Thailand so I guess you gotta get this. Good source of fiber so you don’t get constipated. Seasoning was on point and vegetables were very tender Chicken massaman curry (small): Super flavorful curry. A lot of effort went into making this and it definitely shows. It’s only very mildly spicy, so it’s perfect for those who can’t handle spicy food. Also, a large size means LARGE!! A couple seated next to us ordered a large and their bowl was the size of a pizza. So maybe don’t do that unless you’re really hungry Chicken Khao soi: Again, really flavorful soup like the massaman curry. The soup tastes similar to the massaman curry, but slightly different. You also get a lime and some toppings which I recommend adding Tom yum goong: We got the Tom yum with shrimps. Shrimp wasn’t super fresh but still tasty. Again, the soup was really good. I guess this place is just really good at making soup. It’s slightly spicy and the spice builds up, but the soup is so good that you just want to keep drinking it

Overall every dish was a banger, and I would not hesitate to go here again despite...

What a disappointment. And I am certain that your reply will be as rude and defensive as your staff shouting at us in the middle of your restaurant.

Arriving with excitement at your restaurant, we asked people politely for a table for two. Received with a very unenthusiastic response to just wait. Wait, where ? no idea.

After a few follow ups , we were finally given a number . We kept on waiting and waiting. After 30 mins and a few follow ups , we were given a table. We had looked at the menu and decided what to order to save time.

After Waiting for someone to come and take our order for over 10 mins. I decided to walk inside and ask if someone is interested in serving us. I was received by a rude waiter who started shouting at me telling me that food will take another 45 mins at least and that he did warn me about that ( HE DIDN'T)

The behaviour of staff in this restaurant is by far the rudest behaviour I have ever witnessed in my long travels in Thailand and SE Asia.

To the owner. Having many reviews that claim to have the best food in town should be a reason to invest in your staff's manners and respect to the customers who made you famous....

We stumbled upon this place while we were looking for mango sticky rice on that street. I ordered a massaman curry and my partner a Rad Na. I am no expert but I have to say that the Massaman curry was the best I have had. The Rad Nad was ok , I think the noodles were not fried enough...but I am not a chef. The table we had was on the sidewalk by the street side and it was totally fine. We waited about 35 minutes before we got seated . When I ordered the curry they told me 30 minutes before I got my meal, I was ok with that because I know that this dish is a labour of love. There were about 12 to 15 people waiting in line when our name was called for a free table. As I watched the lineup, it did not shrink at all , by the time we ate, there were as many people as we arrived. It was a very good meal. Be patient, they put you on a list as you come in.
